The stock be designed more straight. This allows for more resistance from recoil. If the stock were to made in the way in which was presented, the life of the stock would be reduced and what you would see after an extended period of time is stress cracks from the resistance being applied to strongly to that least resistant point. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
Also...just curious...what is that L-shaped object on the end?...it's certainly not the bayonet lug...it's not supposed to be designed to be out that far on the rifle.
