The-Blueprints.com Survey Results, October 2006

This survey was put online on the old website so as to get a better idea of what I should improve and what people think of it. From all comments and suggestions I built the current version.
For completeness and openess I put online the results and unfiltered comments and suggestions, for all your viewing pleasure.

For instance one guy/girl thought this would help improve the site: "More boobage.". I couldn't agree more and will have a think about it; definately #1 in the list of funniest suggestions.

How could the website be improved?
Add blueprints from the request section. Update users on different ways to create their own blueprints. Offer more tutorials.

Improved? Easy, more variety of blueprints, plus the site nav could be tightened up.

More colour

Sorry, no idea

You could put some pictures/animations.

with each blue print have a small thumb nail if possiable. you could also add some more back ground were the white areas are or change the color scheme

work on blueprint requests....i've been requesting blueprints of a 1987-93 mustang gt for about 3 years..other then that the site is great

Possibility to download all the blueprints as a .zip or .rar archive.

Would be nice to have a year filter e.g. if I am searching for drawings of all train stuff from 1940.

Putting a better blueprint of BMW M3 GTR would be a good start ;)

1. Use more color to contast blueprints from background

2. Add a note about scale to each of the blueprints.

Never stop adding wonderful contents.

Image sizes are too small. A single A4 sized page should be at least 100k in size to be useful as a pattern source for designing a card, rubber, or FF model. As they say, "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."

Be able to look at just blueprints with all sides given.

even more prints than it already has =P

More content is always good :) Especially aircraft, building and object blueprints.

n othing

The only thing is people visiting this site is just it's content. To improve the site upload as much blueprint as possible. Try to get blueprints from every angle.

More boobage.

The order of the prints, you should put te newest at the top.

:p

Better, easier to use search engine. Better navigation for civilian ships, for example, instead of having "ships" have "Ocean Liners-Britain" The site could use a little more orginization, sometimes drawings are incorrectly placed ie, destroyers on Battleships page.

A bite bigger words
'cars trucks buses ...' -
the way their are now it's sometimes hard to click the proper link

Just dont add pop-ups everywhere.

those yellow buttons (the car index page) are difficult to read and looks crowded.
i mean ; http://the-blueprints.com/index.php?blueprints/cars/

Great site but it would be better it you had all views of the subjects.

Other than adding more blueprints? :) j/k You have an awesome collection of stuff here and I think it's presented well.

could you make the font a tiny bit larger

add ww1 aircraft instead of "various".
Use 2 or 3 view plans only.
Try to display some dimensions.(1 per page)

more charecter references.and blue prints of buildings

Furniture blueprints, from different ages, different styles and types

More blueprints! :P

make the text on the links a little larger add some color to the main page to make it look more interesting other than that a very informative site thanks!!!

add an extra collum to the Request list so that if the reques is added or is already in he Arcrives.

more info about every image for easier searching
use only one format, best would be PNG for me

Do you have any further comments on the website?
Great Job and i'ts nice to see that someone is still adding to a huge database of blueprints that are useful.
Overall a very useful resource, I have recommended to several 3d modellers.
For cars, add a modified section for tuner cars and an American muscle car section for muscle cars.
needs more high resolution images for the blue prints
Nop.
No.
Ask cooperation with SMCars!
Naah,u guys r cool :)!
You've made my search time a lot lesser. Thank you for your hard work.
I appreciate seeing when the file was added or updated. They don't need a date after a year or so, I would think.
more accurate prints then smcars.
nothig
no
It's needs some more boobage, but otherwise it's superfly.
Very helpful
:o
Otherwise, an excellent general reference, very easy to navigate overall. I have no objections to the banners.
I'm quite impressed with the collection and have been for some time. I really like the search engine allowing to look for specific requirements when it comes to the viewpoint. I would like to see more buildings or harder to find objects. But I'm not picky when it comes to that you've done well and I've been looking here for quite some time.
Best site for blueprints. Just keep it up and i will remain a fan!
Tracing photos won't make too useful prints.
I have been using this website for years when i needed some references or blueprints to make models. Thank you for keeping it up and running. It's more effecient using your website then scanning books at home.

Please keep the site live as long as possible. It's a great service to 3d modelers all over the world; without a doubt the best blueprints reference site in existence. Hope to see it around for a long time.
This is a very good site.
I use it frequently to teach solid modeling.
its a good site .the best free site in blueprints i should say.keep it up :-)
very good site to look up blue prints, also on the name of some car (old cars) to try and have a date in the name (when pruduced) and thre are a few files here and there in the wrong catgort, also adding more catagors, sub-catgorys, and posibility adding more building.
I like it.
